DBCOIN.EXE is a self-extracting file containing the compressed files required to use dBCoin for DOS. DBCOIN.EXE was created using the software program LHA (Copyright 1990-1991 by Haruyasu Yoshizaki). DETAILED DESCRIPTION dBCoin for DOS is a coin collection inventory system designed for the hobbyist. Your coin collection information can be stored in one or more files with each file containing a limit of 128 megabytes. Information about each coin can include: country, catalog number, mint year, denomination, grade, purchase date, cost, market value and notes. dBCoin provides intuitive data entry, edit and browse features. Coin information can be added, changed or deleted. Use dBCoin's powerful query feature to browse through the database. All information is sorted and indexed (except notes) to provide quick access. Coin information can be displayed on screen or in printed reports. This is NOT free software. This is NOT public domain software. dBCoin for DOS is a shareware software product. You are expected to pay a $24.95 registration fee plus shipping and handling to the author if you find it useful. SAMPLE.DAT Sample data. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION AND UNPACKING PROGRAM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copying DBCOIN.EXE to a hard drive is recommended before unpacking. The dBCoin files are compressed into a self-extracting file called COIND.EXE. Use thefollowing procedure to create a DBCOIN directory and copy program files to the hard drive. Ignore the quotations when entering instructions. 1. At the C> type "cd\" and press ENTER. The root directory will now be current directory. 2. Type "md coind" and press ENTER. A new directory called COIND will be created. 3. Type "cd\coind" and press ENTER. The COIND directory is now the current directory. 4. Insert the dBCoin disk into drive A or B. 5. Type "A:" or "B:" for the drive containing the dBCoin disk. 6. At the A> or B> type "copy *.* c:" and press ENTER. DBCOIN.EXE will now be copied to the COIND subdirectory on the hard drive. 7. Type "C:" and press ENTER. The prompt should be C:COIND>. 8. Type "dbcoin" and press ENTER.
